Biden Christmas Tree Among Last-standing Trees at North Carolina Tree Farm
Talk about people who have no clue how to read a room.
This weekend, Jill Biden took delivery of the White House Christmas tree.
The tree was among the last trees standing at a family-owned Christmas tree farm in North Carolina that had been ravaged by storms.
Get a Clue
Hurricane Helene wiped out virtually every tree in the area, but the massive Fraser Fir still stood tall.
Locals took to calling the tree “Tree-mendous” after thousands of other trees had been wiped out by the storm.
One would think leaving the tree stand would be inspirational for the people in the area, but Jill Biden had them chop it down and send it to the White House so she could slap some decorations on it.
While receiving the tree, Jill stated, “Their farm is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, a region that was recently devastated by Hurricane Helene.
“The Cartner family lost thousands of trees to the storm. But this one remained standing—and they named it ‘Tremendous’ for the extraordinary hope that it represents.”
Critics ripped her for taking the tree, with one conservative stating, “This is the sort of tone deafness that cost the Democrats this year. They cut down a tree that survived Helene and want you to know it ‘remained standing’ until the government showed up ready to help.”
The Federalist’s Sean Davis went for the gut shot, stating, “You were able to go to North Carolina to cut down one of their trees for your party, but you couldn’t manage to help the actual people stranded after the floods?”
There is just no excuse for this.
Even if the family offered the tree, Biden should have refused and told them to allow the tree to stand right where it was to offer hope for the rebuilding of the area that is clearly needed.
Instead, she and Joe will have their feet up around the fire, sipping on eggnog, while the people of North Carolina continue to rebuild their community.
So, tell me again how the Democrats are the party of the people.
