President Joe Biden reportedly canceled an appearance on MSNBC out of concerns about facing questions over his son Hunter Biden.
The report from the New York Times explained that his son's allegations were the main force being the abrupt cancelation.

"The Biden campaign canceled a scheduled Friday afternoon appearance on MSNBC for its campaign manager, Julie Chávez Rodríguez, after the special counsel announcement to avoid facing a litany of questions about the president’s son, according to two people familiar with the scheduling," the Times reported.
"Polling, Democrats noted, has suggested that swing voters aren’t attuned to the various Hunter Biden controversies. Recent elections, including the Ohio referendum this past week, have shown that the abortion rights issue is powering Democratic victories. And Democrats believe ne’er-do-well family members do not cause transitive harm to relatives who are running for president," it added.

"The first son was expected to plead guilty to two counts of willful failure to pay federal income tax and one count of possession of a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance," Fox News reported.
"But Judge Maryellen Noreika did not accept the plea agreement, questioning the constitutionality — specifically the diversion clause and the immunity Hunter Biden would receive. After prosecutors said Hunter Biden pleading guilty to the two misdemeanor tax offenses would not immunize him from future charges, he wound up pleading 'not guilty,'" it continued.
Hunter Biden and other Biden family members continue to be the focus of an investigation by the GOP-led House Oversight Committee.
Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has vowed to continue his efforts to discover the truth behind allegations of bribery involving millions of dollars in international business deals with the Bidens.
The alleged deals occurred during the years Biden was vice president under then-President Barack Obama, involving Ukraine and China, among other nations.
The cancelation also comes as Biden receives criticism over not responding to the Maui wildfires while vacationing in his home state of Delaware.
