Biden Appears to Have Enough of Harris Criticisms of Governor DeSantis

Over the last few days, Harris has been stirring the pot with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Harris was upset that DeSantis did not take her call when she allegedly reached out to him regarding recovery efforts.

DeSantis went nuclear, saying she is not in the chain of command and has not once reached out to him during storm recovery, so why would he expect her to now?

Dial It Down

I give credit where credit is due, and I have zero problem giving Biden a thumbs up to settle this one down.

If Harris were not running for president, there is no way she would be interested in these hurricane recovery efforts.

I can say that because of her track record during previous hurricanes, where she never picked up the phone or visited DeSantis to see how the recovery effort was going.

Harris called DeSantis “irresponsible” and “selfish” for not answering her call, stating, “People are in desperate need of support right now. And playing political games at this moment in these crisis situations, these are the height of the emergency situations.”

DeSantis, who has done an amazing job in these recovery efforts, responded, “She has never called on any of the storms we’ve had since she’s been vice president until apparently now.”

DeSantis added that Biden has given him everything he has needed and answered every call and request made.

I can also say that I have a brother who lives in Polk County just outside of Tampa Bay, where the storm landed. They already have power and water, and the roads are already cleared.

Let me say this again… DeSantis has done an exceptional job and has set the standard for dealing with these emergencies.

Biden agrees. When he was asked about Harris’ claims about DeSantis, he responded, “All I can tell you is I’ve talked to Gov. DeSantis.

“He’s been very gracious, he’s thanked me for all we’ve done, he knows what we’re doing, and I think that’s important.”

I have seen DeSantis enough to know that he would not politicize this. In fact, he has cut off loaded questions from the media, who are trying to get a snippet they can use to poke a hornet’s nest.

All I can say is that I hope DeSantis is still around in 2028 and puts his name in the hat for president again because all he has done as governor is prove that he is the best candidate to be in DC to sit behind the Resolute Desk.

The man is unflustered by anything, and he continues to prove time and time again that he is all about the people.

The people of Florida are lucky to have him.
