Biden Announces More Military Aid for Ukraine

Joe Biden just made an announcement that is probably not going to sit well with most people on the right.

On Wednesday, Biden had a call with Ukrainian President Zelensky.

At the end of that call, Biden offered him nearly half a billion in additional aid.

Giving It Away

For the record, the big issue with Ukraine is not really the aid but rather the fact there is virtually no accountability for what is being given to the country.

We know there is corruption, especially early on, yet this administration is still not requiring a full accounting of the funds and aid being distributed.

Then, on Wednesday, it was revealed that Biden was sending another $425 million to Ukraine.

Zelensky announced the aid on social media, thanking Biden.

After thanking Biden for his generosity with our tax dollars, Zelensky added, "I proposed considering the possibility of joint weapons production.

"We also discussed the importance of additional training for Ukrainian soldiers."

The White House also released a readout of the agreement, which, in part, stated, “Today, the President announced a $425 million security assistance package for Ukraine that includes additional air defense capability, air-to-ground munitions, armored vehicles, and critical munitions to meet Ukraine’s urgent needs.

“In the coming months, the United States will provide Ukraine with a range of additional capabilities, including hundreds of air defense interceptors, dozens of tactical air defense systems, additional artillery systems, significant quantities of ammunition, hundreds of armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, and thousands of additional armored vehicles, all of which will help to equip Ukraine’s armed forces.”

The report went on to say that they also discussed a victory plan, but no details were offered on that front.

My guess here is that Biden wants to load Ukraine up to give him a buffer just in case Kamala Harris loses this election.

I doubt the aid to Ukraine will dry up, but I would imagine the stipulations attached to the aid will significantly change if Donald Trump is in office.
