It looks like the Biden administration has been keeping something about Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in the very back of the closet.
The America First Legal Foundation (AFLF) has filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration.
The suit is about an alleged FBI investigation that was conducted into Mayorkas, reported the Daily Caller.
Sue!
The suit was filed against the FBI and the DOJ. AFLF filed the suit to have the alleged probe into Mayorkas’ background made public.
Gene Hamilton, America First Legal Vice President and General Counsel stated, “The American people deserve to have access to the files we requested to understand the extent to which Secretary Mayorkas disclosed his foreign ties and contacts, among other things. Disclosing these records is consistent with what the FBI did during the Trump Administration when it released portions of the SF-86 for then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions, so there is simply no reason why they should not provide the same information for Secretary Mayorkas,” reported the Daily Caller.
There are some marks on Mayorkas’ record that warrant a deeper dive, to be honest.
There is one case where Mayorkas went over and above his usual duties to help out some friends of top Democrats with the EB-5 visa program, according to the DHS Inspector General’s office.
AFLF stated, “Secretary Mayorkas’s abysmal performance has led to the introduction of several impeachment resolutions in Congress.
“The Secretary’s dereliction of duty regarding our immigration system has turned America into a borderless nation, and every state is feeling the consequences of allowing millions of illegal immigrants to flood into the United States.
“While Americans are dying at the hands of illegal aliens that should never have been allowed to enter America, the Biden Administration and Secretary Mayorkas have turned a blind eye.”
Mayorkas is on my Top 2 list for Biden officials that need to go, so I fully support this request and cannot wait to see what the FBI found on this clown.
