Biden Administration Heavily Criticized for MBS Immunity

The Biden administration is taking serious fire right now, and rightfully so.

After years of talking about how he would hold Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salma (MBS) accountable for the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, the administration is now trying to shield him with immunity.

Nobody is buying the excuses given by the Biden administration as to why this is happening.

Leader Gets a Free Pass

The filing by the administration stated, "Mohammed bin Salman, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is the sitting head of government and, accordingly, is immune from this suit."

So, by that logic, any leader of any country can walk up, kill someone, and never be held accountable.

Now, while MBS did not personally kill Khashoggi, the consensus is that he gave the thumbs up for the hit to be carried out.

Point being, most believe that whatever legal problems come his way, so be it.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre disagreed, stating, "It's nothing to do with the merits of this case.

"The United States consistently has afforded head of state immunity to heads of governments."

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby added that Biden "has been very, very clear and very vocally so about the brutal, barbaric murder of Mr. Khashoggi."

We judge people on their actions, however, not what they talk about doing.

This would be especially true when you consider how harshly Trump was criticized over this matter.

Abdullah Alaoudh, research director for the Gulf at Democracy for the Arab World Now, commented, "The Biden administration just put the final nail in the coffin for any accountability and opened the gate for [the crown prince] to conduct more Khashoggi-like operations."

Washington Post columnist added, "The Trump administration, for all of its embrace of [the crown prince], never gave him the immunity he wanted.

"He has been seeking immunity since 2020, 2021. The Trump administration left office without acting on that request.

"It's disturbing that the Biden administration ends up doing what Donald Trump himself wouldn't do."

We should also note that Trump was hesitant to do anything one way or another until an investigation had been fully conducted.

Biden was the one that published that report in 2021 showing that the conclusion had been made that MBS approved the hit.

Fraud = Joe Biden. End of discussion.
