Biden Administration Dealt Another Blow in Second Amendment Case
Once again, that pesky document called the Constitution and the Supreme Court have overruled Joe Biden and his renegade administration.
On Tuesday, a federal judge used the Supreme Court precedent blocking the banning of bump stocks (which was actually put in place during the Trump administration) to strike down another Biden ban.
This one was the banning of forced reset triggers, which allow the weapons to be fired faster.
Crushing Blow
The Biden administration has been after the Second Amendment from day one.
Biden has been trying to poke a hole in there in any way he can because we all know that if he gets an inch, he is going to try to take a foot.
His administration has tried to redefine the definition of machine guns to create these bans, but the courts are not buying it.
Judge Reed O’Connor of the Northern District of Texas sided with gun rights groups in the case, striking down the ban that went into place in 2023.
O’Connor cited the fact that even with the forced reset in place, the weapon can only fire a single shot at a time.
The judge cited the “tragic nature” of the mass shooting in Las Vegas that resulted in Trump introducing the bump stock ban, but he further stated, “No matter how terrible the circumstances, there is never a situation that justifies a court altering statutory text that was democratically enacted by those who are politically accountable.”
Dudley Brown, president of the National Association for Gun Rights, took a victory lap after the decision was announced.
I am sure Democrats will come after them again, as they always do, but they keep losing these cases.
Again, I think we can all agree that events such as mass shootings are simply horrible, but Dems keep looking at the weapon and not the shooters.
That is what upset me so much about the failings of the Secret Service during the assassination attempt against Donald Trump.
We finally had a real chance to get one of these shooters and get inside their head, but the failings of the Secret Service that day left snipers no choice but to take out the shooter, sadly, after Trump and two other civilians were shot and one innocent man lost his life.
