Barack Obama Criticizes Israel Over Gaza

Well, that sure did not take long…

Democrats always show their true colors when it comes to Israel, and Obama has already reversed his narrative and is now going after Israel for its counterattack against Hamas.

Obama was critical of Israel’s approach to dismantling Hamas.

Look at the Pictures

I don’t know anyone who could look at those pictures from Israel and not want them to finally take on Hamas and destroy the terrorist organization.

Families were slaughtered, children were beheaded, women and elderly were shown no mercy… and this was confirmed in pictures, video, and via confession from a Hamas fighter who was captured by Israel.

Still, Obama put the onus on Israel, stating, “But even as we support Israel, we should also be clear that how Israel prosecutes this fight against Hamas matters.”

Obama continued, “Still, the world is watching closely as events in the region unfold, and any Israeli military strategy that ignores the human costs could ultimately backfire.

“Already, thousands of Palestinians have been killed in the bombing of Gaza, many of them children.

“Hundreds of thousands have been forced from their homes.

“The Israeli government’s decision to cut off food, water, and electricity to a captive civilian population threatens not only to worsen a growing humanitarian crisis; it could further harden Palestinian attitudes for generations, erode global support for Israel, play into the hands of Israel’s enemies, and undermine long term efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.”

Now, I don’t know if anyone has been reading the statements from Palestinians here in the United States or the comments on social media, but the overall narrative is that they despise Israel and the people who live there.

To be clear, I am not advocating for civilians to be slaughtered, but let’s not pretend that this war aside, it was all strawberries and whipped cream between Israel and Palestine.

Israel has shown restraint, and it plans on conducting a ground attack to seek out Hamas and destroy it, but the nature of a war against a terrorist organization that hides among civilians is, sadly, that civilians will die.

Hamas are terrorists, and they could care less about civilians. Perhaps Obama would be better served to look at the horrific pictures and videos of the initial attack before slinging mud at Israel.

Let me give you one more little tidbit about the hypocrisy of Barack Obama on this front.

December 12, 2013… that was the day that the Obama administration carried out a drone attack, launching four Hellfire missiles at 11 cars and trucks in Yemen.

This was not a convoy of terrorists, but a wedding procession, where a dozen people were killed and another 15 or so injured, many of them seriously.

Mr. Obama, you have no right calling out anyone on this matter, so please go back to Martha’s Vineyard and enjoy your retirement.
