‘Baby Shark’ Rapper Reportedly Killed During Robbery

The rapper who turned “Baby Shark” into a monster mainline hit, Ralan Styles, is dead.

The entertainer was reportedly killed during a robbery.

He was only 22 years old.

He’s Gone

Styles was reported accosted and resisted the armed robber during the theft.

According to local police, he was allegedly shot by the thief. When police and paramedics arrived, they attempted to save his life, but he was pronounced dead at the scene in Columbus, OH, around 5:10 a.m. on October 19.

His label, Big Money Records, announced his death on social media, posting, “It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news that our beloved artist, Michael Robinson, known to many as Ralan Styles, was taken from us early this morning at 5:10 AM.

“Michael was not just an incredible talent but also a kind-hearted soul who poured his heart into every song he made for his fans. He touched many lives through his music, and his legacy will live on through the beats and lyrics he created.”

Rapper Lil Goat, who was very close with Styles, also commented on the murder, posting, “We went from rapping at the lunch table together in middle school to becoming superstars. We slept on the floor together, we ate together, we fought together, [and] signed our first deal together.

“I love you bro, and as long as I’m alive you’ll never die.”

Mahamood Hassan, 24, has been arrested and charged in the murder case, currently being held on a $2 million bond.

Styles took the recording business by storm when he released a remix version of the children’s song “Baby Shark.”

He posted the remix on social media, and it just blew up, landing him a national recording contract and putting him on the map.

On YouTube, the video, which was posted nearly two years ago, has more than 1.8 million views.

His first full album, Polyamorous, was released in June.
