Authorities alerted to Trump shooter's presence in advance: Reports

It was not long after former President Donald Trump survived an attempted assassination at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania that people started asking questions.

How could something like this happen?

Trump supporters watched in horror as a gunman shot at Trump, injuring the former president and killing an innocent rally attendee and injuring two others.

This should never have happened.

So, why did it?

Maybe the most bizarre and disturbing part of the entire shooting is that authorities who were hired to PROTECT Trump and the Americans at his rally, were allegedly alerted before the shots rang out.

A man who goes by the name of Greg told the BBC that he saw a man with a “rifle of some sort” climbing onto a nearby roof and immediately told the police about his concern.

“We noticed the guy bear-crawling up the roof of the building beside us, 50ft away from us. He had a rifle, we could clearly see a rifle. We’re pointing at him, the police are down there running around on the ground, we’re like ‘Hey man, there’s a guy on the roof with a rifle’... and the police did not know what was going on,” Greg said.

According to Greg, the police did nothing until after the shots were fired.

Now, everyone wants to know the answer to the same question. How could something like this happen if police had been warned?

It is absolutely horrifying and bewildering.

Could there be some ulterior motive at play here? Hopefully not, but this piece of news is sure to make at least a few Americans curious.

While those kinds of thoughts remain pure speculation at this point, you have to admit it is very odd that police did not jump into action when tipped off by rally attendees and others in the immediate vicinity.

What do you think could be the reason that the shooting still happened despite authorities being warned of the apparently imminent threat?
