IRS whistleblower attorney Mark Lytle is creating a bit of a dust-up regarding the fact that David Weiss was appointed as Special Counsel in the Hunter Biden investigation.
By rule, the appointment should have been given to someone outside the government.
Lytle seems to have more of a problem than just that rule violation, however, reported Yahoo!
He Has to Go
Lytle is the attorney that is representing IRS investigator Gary Shapley, the whistleblower in the Hunter Biden IRS case.
Weiss was actually appointed his US Attorney position by Donald Trump, but the recommendation came from the two Democrat Senators, who were both very strong allies of Joe Biden.
As I noted the other day, it appears as though they were playing the long game when they gave Trump his name.
As I stated above, Weiss, technically, should have never been appointed in the first place, nor should John Durham for that matter, but in both cases, the rule was overlooked.
When Lytle was asked about Weiss being the special counsel, he was not very flattering.
He stated, "My overall reaction with all of this information that's come out… [is] that David Weiss has to go.
"He cannot be special counsel in this case – every day there are new revelations about Mr. Weiss and how he's handled this case," reported Fox News.
Lytle later added, "The fact that [Weiss] got appointed special counsel necessarily means that D.C. and L.A. turned him down, which contradicts what he told Congress. And so there's all kinds of problems with why he needs to step down."
Weiss was heavily criticized for this investigation, especially after the rumors of the plea deal were released.
All eyes are on Weiss now, so if Hunter Biden gets off with nothing more than a slap on the wrist, you better believe the GOP is going to go after him with everything they have.
