ATF Whistleblower Comes Forward Against Biden Administration

I can honestly not remember a time when we had so many whistleblowers coming forward as we have had since 2016.

This time, it is someone from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

The whistleblower has come forward to ring the bell about a new Biden rule to ban private gun sales.

Here We Go Again

Private sales have long been a sore spot for Democrats because of the nature of the reporting of the sale.

For many years, they have been trying to get more regulations on these sales, if not outright banning them.

If the report is correct, Biden is about to create an executive order that would do just that.

Tristan Leavitt, president of the watchdog group Empower Oversight, stated, "The fact that inside ATF sources are blowing the whistle on this draft rule is an indication of what a difficult position it would put the ATF in. ATF agents did not sign up to go after law-abiding citizens for private sales protected under the Second Amendment of the Constitution.”

The group sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland asking for clarification on the matter, in part, stating that, “Two sources in the ATF that at the direction of the White House, the ATF has drafted a 1,300-page document in support of a rule that would effectively ban private sales of firearms from one citizen to another by requiring background checks for every sale."

This comes on the heels of very aggressive rules being put in place by Biden’s ATF, rules that do not sit well with gun owners today.

The most recent of these was ATF2022R-17, otherwise known as "Definition of ‘Engaged in the Business’ as a Dealer in Firearms."

Leavitt added, "Such an expansive rule that treats all private citizens the same as federal firearms licensees would circumvent the separation of powers in the Constitution, which grants ‘all legislative Powers’ to Congress while requiring that the President ‘take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.’

“To the extent such a rule prevents the private sale of firearms, it would also clearly violate the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, which declares that "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.’"

Peter J. Forcelli, retired deputy assistant director of the ATF, offered up his two cents to Fox News, stating, "People will now have … an additional step and utilize a licensed gun dealer to make those transactions if this comes into play.

"... We have a problem with violent crime in the country right now. We have a lot of individuals who are misusing firearms that are not being prosecuted. And I think that this director's time would be better served by pressuring those United States attorney's offices that aren't doing their job to go out there and effectively prosecute cases involving violent criminals."

If this new rule does come into play, even to sell a gun to your brother or son, you would either be forced to become a licensed agent or use one to complete the transaction, adding to the costs of gun ownership, which is the ultimate goal of Democrats.

They want to make gun ownership unaffordable for the average law-abiding citizen while doing nothing to take illegal guns out of the hands of criminals.
