House Launches New Investigation into ATF Gun Sales Rule

Biden’s ATF has gone rogue, putting in all kinds of new rules that are meant to lower gun ownership in this country.

At the very least, they are trying to make it much harder for law-abiding citizens to be able to own a firearm.

The latest rule would require anyone selling a single firearm that results in a profit to have to register for a gun dealing license.

Breaking Chops

Currently, let’s say you have a friend who goes to a gun show and finds a brand new handgun they have wanted for years.

They buy it, then decide they don’t need their other weapon. You are currently able to make gun sales between individuals without being a licensed gun retailer, so you could buy that weapon from your friend, but if he charges you more than he paid for it and generates a profit, the new rule would require him to become a gun retailer, in essence, turning him into a small business owner.

Rep. Roger Williams (R-TX), chairman of the House Small Business Committee, stated, “The ATF’s new rule would force thousands of gun enthusiasts to register as Federally Licensed Firearms Dealers.

“Criminals will simply ignore this new requirement while law-abiding citizens will be forced to submit their information to the ATF as another backdoor attempt to make a universal gun registry. This ridiculous new requirement will do nothing to improve public safety and only shows the Biden Administration’s contempt for the Second Amendment.”

As is usually the case, they are just trying to make it harder for law-abiding citizens, while we have prosecutors, Democrats, and liberals fighting for no-cash bail for criminals who commit violent crimes, often with illegal weapons.

This new rule would surely take some guns off the street, only it would be taking those guns for people who need a firearm for self-defense.

This county is just operating completely backward right now.
