At Least 22 Dead in Maine Mass Shooting
Tragedy has struck in Lewiston, ME, in the form of a horrific mass shooting.
Robert Card has been announced as a person of interest in the shooting, as police are now on a massive manhunt to find him.
According to reports, Card allegedly entered two different locations, opening fire, killing at least 22 people, and injuring another 30.
Maine Public Safety Commissioner Mike Sauschuck announced late Wednesday night that the number of victims is “very fluid” as more information becomes available.
At the time of this report, Card was only mentioned as a person of interest, but his likeness was all over videos and still photo surveillance of the locations where the shootings took place.
Card was considered to be “armed and dangerous.” He was reportedly a firearms instructor with a history of mental illness, who, as has been reported, reported hearing voices in his head and making threats to shoot up Maine’s National Guard base.
So, once again, I have to ask why this was ignored and he was not, at the very least, being watched?
Lewiston Police posted, "Law Enforcement is attempting to locate Robert Card 4/4/1983, as a person of interest regarding the mass shooting at Schemengees Bar and Sparetime Recreation this evening.
"Card should be considered armed and dangerous. Please contact law enforcement if you are aware of his whereabouts."
The two locations of the shootings were identified as Schemengees Bar & Grille Restaurant and Sparetime Recreation.
In all of 2022, there were only 29 murders in Maine, and this one shooting has almost equaled that total.
I have already seen the comments and posts by Democrats and liberals, once again saying it is the guns, but it is the person, in this case, an apparent mentally deranged person who has once again slipped through the cracks.
In virtually every mass shooting this year, there have been warning signs that could have possibly prevented these horrific attacks from taking place, but they were either not reported until after the fact or simply ignored.
