Well, the most poison member of Congress on the Republican side of the aisle has finally been charged.
The con man, otherwise known as Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.), has finally been arrested and charged for, among other things, fraud.
The man got into office on lies, leadership in the party backed him up, and now they are going to be embarrassed on a national stage.

Before I go off about this, let me tell you a little bit about the charges this clown is now facing.
U.S. Attorney Breon Peace stated, "Taken together, the allegations in the indictment charge Santos with relying on repeated dishonesty and deception to ascend to the halls of Congress and enrich himself. He used political contributions to line his pockets, unlawfully applied for unemployment benefits that should have gone to New Yorkers who had lost their jobs due to the pandemic, and lied to the House of Representatives."
Santos has been charged with seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives, and one count of theft of public funds, reports CBS News.
Santos pleaded not guilty, then tried to act like Donald Trump and call the entire thing a "witch hunt," reports Fox News.
This man admitted to lying after taking office, about everything.
He literally lied about every aspect of his background to get elected. Then, when it was exposed and his constituents demanded he step down, he laughed in their faces and remained in office.
The House launched an ethics probe, which, for some reason, is still going on. House Speaker McCarthy (R-CA) said that he is innocent until proven guilty, but that does not wash here because Santos has already admitted that he lied.
People like Santos are why nobody is taking the Republican Party seriously anymore, including myself. I am a conservative, but I don't consider myself a Republican because of clowns like this. He needs to be removed from office ASAP.
I am astonished that so many members of Congress embraced this clown when he took office. It was a train wreck that was clearly advertised, but people like Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz decided to buy a ticket and go for the ride.
I have long stated that the system is broken and needs a reset very badly.
We have fossils and corruption in Congress, on both sides of the aisle. Pelosi, McConnell, Swalwell, Santos, Menendez, Schumer, Feinstein, Waters, just to name a few. They are either too old, corrupt, or both.
Our government stopped being about the people the moment they started allowing PACs and lobbyists. It is now about getting a piece of the pie, insider trading, and staying in office as long as possible to help get everyone in your family rich.
We need change, my friends, and it is up to us to purge these people and put fresh blood in Congress that will do its job and represent our concerns. Let's do that in 2024.
