No more drilling… I kind of remember Joe Biden saying that not too long ago.
Well, Joe did not keep that promise more than a few months.
Reports are now breaking that Biden is going to greenlight a new oil project in Alaska that has been on deck since the Trump administration.
Let's Do It
Joe Biden has been backed into a corner here. It would seem like he finally realized how idiotic his plan to kill American oil production really is.
With the strategic reserves running low and other countries sitting back and enjoying seeing the United States squirm, Biden is greenlighting the ConocoPhillips (CP) drilling plan in Alaska.
The only change Biden made from the plan that was put on Trump's desk was to cut the sites from five down to three.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) endorsed the plan on Wednesday, much to the chagrin of Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) and green groups…
The best way to describe the Willow Project is a climate disaster in waiting. @POTUS needs to start considering federal drilling decisions as significant matters of climate. #StopWillow

Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) added, "Giving ConocoPhillips the green light on the Willow project is not just a disaster in its own right — it paves the way for even more oil and gas drilling in the area in the future.
"Today's decision sends the dangerous message that the fight against climate change, Alaska Natives' and local residents' lives, and wildlife are not good enough reasons to keep Big Oil from getting their way.
"This is the exact opposite of what the Biden administration stands for and the opposite of what Alaskans and this country need."
BLM responded, "The BLM has identified a preferred alternative in the final SEIS. Alternative E removes one of the five proposed drill sites from consideration and defers consideration of another.
"Additional environmental analysis would be required to move forward with the deferred fourth pad, and the final record of decision may identify additional deferrals."
Translation: gasoline prices are going up and Biden has no choice but to allow domestic drilling again.
