Who says no news breaks on holiday weekends?
A bombshell was dropped on the DOJ this holiday weekend.
The Trump-appointed judge reviewing the request for a Special Master to be appointed in the Trump DOJ probe has finally made her decision.
No Harm
We thought judge Cannon was leaning this way, even though she did make her decision from the bench during the initial hearing.
After having several days to contemplate the filing, she has finally ruled in favor of Trump.
The DOJ has been fighting the appointment of a Special Master from the outset.
The biggest problem that I can see surfacing from a Special Master being appointed is finding more privileged documents in the materials the FBI took from Trump's home.
If that happens, the DOJ is going to have some serious problems.
In her order, Judge Cannon states, "The Court hereby authorizes the appointment of a special master to review the seized property for personal items and documents and potentially privileged material subject to claims of attorney-client and/or executive privilege."
The DOJ will surely be pursuing an indictment of Trump in this case.
I stand by my prediction that an indictment will be timely made to try to eliminate Trump from the 2024 presidential election.
I do not believe Trump will ever serve any time on this because of the precedents put in place during the Hillary Clinton email scandal.
I don't think that matters to this Attorney General, however.
I believe Biden has told him to indict Trump for anything that could take him out of the race, and he is doing just that.
