AOC's plan to pursue presidency in 2028 likely more than just a rumor

Could Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) run for president in 2028?

According to former Congressman Matt Gaetz, the answer is YES.

Gaetz took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to confirm what some have known for years.

“Alex has told people she’s running in 2028 since 2019,” Gaetz wrote in the X post.

Gaetz isn’t the only one with AOC on the brain.

Former Trump official Monica Crowley, who served as Trump’s assistant secretary of public affairs at the Treasury Department, sat down on Fox News to discuss the potential move in 2028 from Ocasio-Cortez.

The host of the interview, Lisa Boothe, shared an interesting perspective about Ocasio-Cortez’s recent habits in the media.

“She did this Instagram thing where she reached out to her voters and split-ticket voters for Trump, asking them why they split the ticket, and a lot of them said they like her accessibility. She’s doing these Instagram Lives, and we saw that with Donald Trump as well—being willing to sit down with Joe Rogan, going on X, doing these three-hour interviews,” reported Boothe.

“Is it fair to rule her out, or is there something there for her?” Boothe then asked Crowley.

Crowley’s response contained a shocking warning.

Do not underestimate AOC. She’s young, she’s vibrant, she’s attractive,” Crowley said.

“I think she’s wrong on everything, but she does have real grassroots support, and all of the energy and activism in the Democratic Party remains with the revolutionary left, of which she is a part,” Crowley continued in the interview.

“So, every time the Republicans have underestimated the Democrats, we ended up with Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden. So, let’s not do it again in four years,” Crowley warned.

Do you think we could see a run for the White House from AOC in 2028?
