AOC Calls NYC Unaffordable, Editorial Blames Her Policies Making It Worse
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was criticized after arguing that New York City is unaffordable for residents.
An editorial in the New York Post explained that the congresswoman's far-left policies are actually making costs even higher.

For once, AOC is right, Fox News reported: ‘They can’t afford to live here anymore,’ she said Monday of working-class Gothamites. The thing is, it’s the policies that she and her progressive allies want more of that have made the city so expensive."
"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who represents parts of the Bronx and Queens, is, after all, a Democratic Socialist. Look at what occasioned the digital town hall where she spoke: recently announced cuts across city agencies. Why are these needed? To pay for the migrants AOC and her ilk demand we admit in infinite numbers, and house and feed forever at a cost of more than $12 billion through fiscal 2025," the editorial stated.

The congresswoman also took to social media this week to attack America's support of Israel in its war against Hamas terrorists.
"Thousands of confirmed constituents have been calling into my office, calling for a cease-fire, calling for the conditioning of aid," she said in a video clip posted.
"It's not just my view, but it's also the view of our community that what we are witnessing is the gross violation of human rights in Gaza that is being done with U.S. military assistance," she continued.
Cortez has long been criticized over her far-left socialist views that the Post's editorial noted as contributing to the problems America faces under the Biden administration.
Among her views is support of the Biden administration's open border policies which have led to more than 100,000 migrants moving to New York City.
The congresswoman's attempt to highlight rising costs has now come back to hurt her and the people in New York she represents.
