CBP Announces Huge Bust at Border

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced a massive bust at the border.

Authorities arrested seven gang members as well as seizing 825 pounds of fentanyl.

The value of the drugs is estimated at around $3 million.

No Reason to Celebrate

Usually, we would be celebrating such an arrest.

That is not necessarily the case here for several reasons.

First, with the number of people crossing the border, we should be reading more of these stories.

That leads us to our second point, which is how many drugs and gang members made it through before this arrest.

Authorities reported that over the week, at the Calexico and Andrade ports of entry in San Diego, seven different drug trafficking attempts were blocked.

At the Rio Grande Sector, seven gang members were arrested, as were two sex offenders.

Port Director Roque Caza at Calexico stated, "Our officers found a significant number of narcotics within a short time period.

"This demonstrates the fierce dedication our officers have to uphold CBP's mission in protecting our nation's borders and keeping our communities safe from these dangerous drugs."

Regarding the gang member arrests, Fox News reported, "Three of those arrested were members of the Mara-Salvatrucha (MS-13), while two others were members of the 18th Street gang from El Salvador. Authorities also arrested a Honduran Paisa gang member."

Joe Biden and Democrats want everyone to believe everyone coming over the border is just looking for a better life.

Rest assured, that is not the case, as this proves.

As noted above, we should be seeing far more arrests like this, but far too many of our agents are processing illegals due to the sheer volume of people coming over the border right now.

Biden has to get his under control.
