Ana Navarro attacks Trump family in attempt to defend Kamala Harris

The ladies of ABC's The View are notorious for their crass, no-holds-barred criticism of Donald Trump and those who support him, so it was no surprise when co-host Ana Navarro recently took aim at the former president's family life.

Purportedly in response to disparaging comments made about Vice President Kamala Harris' dating history, Navarro slammed Trump for having a total of five children -- including youngest son Barron -- with three different women, as Page Six reports.

Navarro hits new low

Adopting a defensive posture about the presumptive Democratic Party presidential nominee, Navarro let loose on those who have questioned Harris' past romantic entanglements and suggested that she used those connections to climb the career ladder.

“You guys want to make her dating history and her personal history an issue? Let's do that, OK? Bring it on,” Navarro declared.

She went on, “You want to talk about Donald Trump, who has five children from three different mamas? How would Kamala be treated if she was that?”

As Page Six noted separately, Navarro took to Instagram to further her attacks on Trump and his family, going so far as to post a nude photo of former first lady Melania Trump taken during her modeling days.

“Some Republicans are out there on TV and social media making vile sexual remarks about Kamala Harris and wanting to make her dating history on issue. Go right ahead. You want to make that an issue? Bring it on. I've never seen naked pics of @kamalaharris or her spouse,” she wrote.

Fatherly devotion wins out

As most supporters of the former president already know, Trump has three grown children, Donald Jr., Eric, and Ivanka, all of whom he shared with his first wife, the late Ivana Trump.

With second wife, Marla Maples, Trump became father to another daughter, Tiffany, now age 30.

Together with his third wife, Melania, Trump welcomed son Barron, 18, who recently graduated from high school in Florida.

As the Irish Star recently reported, Barron's graduation ceremony was a moment of great pride, but also great concern for the former president, who was forced to secure special permission from New York Judge Juan Merchan to attend the proceedings amid his criminal trial and also had to haggle with the U.S. Secret Service in order to received what he believed to be sufficient protective measures at the venue.

The lengths to which the former -- and perhaps future -- president went to ensure his presence on his youngest son's special day is evidence of the importance he places on his entire family, regardless of the derogatory light Navarro unsuccessfully attempted to shine on the Trumps.
