‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestant Dead from Apparent Suicide

Another young life has been extinguished.

A young lady who appeared on “America’s Got Talent” with her cheerleading squad was found dead on Friday night.

Sadly, it appears as though she took her own life.

She’s Gone

The contestants on these reality shows often steal the hearts of viewers, and I am sure that is what happened after Emily Gold and her cheerleading squad competed on “America’s Got Talent..”

Her body was found under an overpass in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

The body was reportedly run over numerous times before the California Highway Patrol (CHP) was able to recover it.

Authorities are currently treating the death as a suicide, which is baffling because this young lady had everything to live for.

Her Los Osos High School cheer team had just competed in the quarterfinals of the reality competition.

When the team first performed, they received a standing ovation, including from judge Simon Cowell, who is notoriously difficult to impress.

Emily’s brother, Alex, paid tribute to her on social media, stating, “The times we spent together won’t ever be enough.

“Half my heart is gone without you…Rest in heaven Emily Gold because it will always be your world.”

A GoFundMe page was established by Jeanette Fierro to help the family after Emily’s death.

On the page, she posted, “As a community, let's come together and support the Gold family in this difficult time. Please know this money will go directly to the family to support them and help with expenses.”

This is heartbreaking that we have kids who feel as though they have nobody to go to and wind up taking their own lives.

Her family has our thoughts, and we just hope that other parents learn from this tragedy that they need to stay grounded and in touch with their children to they feel comfortable discussing anything with them so we don’t see more of this in the future.
