A new Economist/YouGov poll has provided some really bad news for Senator McConnell (R-KY).
The 81-year-old Senate Minority Leader has lost the faith of the American people due to his age and health issues.
The majority now believe his ability to carry out his duties is “severely” limited.
Time to Retire
Let me ask this question again… what the hell were the people of Kentucky thinking when they re-elected this fossil to office in the last election?
Even at the time of his election, his approval ratings were underwater and We the People were demanding fresh blood in Senate leadership.
McConnell literally laughed in our faces because most of the Senate is corrupt and in Mitch’s back pocket. So, McConnell had more than enough support to take the vote and retain his leadership position.
According to the poll, 51 percent say McConnell is limited in his ability to do the job, with a mere six percent saying his age and health have “no effect at all,” reported Breitbart.
Exactly what has McConnell done to earn this loyalty in the Senate?
He signed off on big spending bills for Biden when the only leverage we had was the budget. He has regularly given in to Biden during this presidency, doing the complete opposite of what the American people wanted to do.
The only thing McConnell has ever been good at is blocking legislation in the Senate, refusing to put bills on the floor, even bipartisan bills, if he personally did not like them.
McConnell has the interest of one at the top of his list, and that is the major donors to his PACs and campaign. He surely does not represent the American people.
Trump recently went after McConnell on this exact front, stating, “…I think it’s a shame he went so far out to give Green New Deal money to Biden and Democrats. He got 10 people to vote because they needed 10 people, and he got 10 people to vote on numerous occasions for trillions of dollars. I think that’s a shame.”
We will never see a change in the attitude of the party in the Senate until this fossil is put out to pasture.
He is literally laughing at us and our demands… he must go.
