Dr. Jeffrey Harris Found Guilty Of Second-Degree Murder
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, most known for his connections to his prosecution of former President Donald Trump’s trial, has recently secured a verdict in the case of Dr. Jeffery Harris.
Dr. Jeffery Harris was found guilty of second-degree manslaughter of his wife, Tammy Harris.
Jeffery Harris will now spend five to 15 years behind bars for his heinous crimes.
Bragg said Harris had been found guilty "for killing her by giving her numerous supplements and alternative treatments, including poisonous levels of selenium, and preventing her from seeking treatment for lupus."
When Tammy Harris began experiencing painful aches nearly 10 years ago, Dr. Harris decided to take her care into his own hands.
That decision would ultimately lead to her untimely death.
Now, Harris has received the maximum time he could be given for the decision to give his wife a deadly dose of supplements, specifically selenium, which should only ever be taken in small doses.
According to the hospital Tammy Harris was eventually treated at, she had an "enormous amount of selenium in her blood -- more than 10 times the reference range."
Maybe the most spine-tingling part of this case is Dr. Harris was treating Tammy Harris for a condition she did not have. Dr. Harris claimed his wife was suffering from mercury poisoning. She was not.
"Harris moved from one diagnosis to the next, finally falsifying mercury poisoning and giving her such high doses of selenium that he eventually killed her with his reckless treatment," said Bragg.
Tammy was only 80 pounds at the end of her life.
Just one month later, her heart gave out.
She died at Lenox Hospital.
Bragg didn’t stop there, calling out Dr. Jeffrey Harris for his disgusting actions as a practicing medical physician.
"Jeffrey Harris betrayed his duty as a physician and as a husband by ignoring all medical evidence and advice and experimenting on his wife, leading to her slow and painful death," said Bragg.
