Alaska Democrats Promoting GOP Candidates to Win House Seat

Democrats are up to no good again.

They have totally figured out how to rig an election in their favor, and they're doing just that in Alaska.

A Democrat PAC is promoting three GOP candidates who are likely to face off against Rep. Mary Peltola (D-AK) in the general election.

Three for One

Vote Alaska Before Party, which is largely funded by a Democrat SuperPAC, is trying to manipulate the open primary race.

The group is promoting three different GOP candidates in the hopes that all three of them make it out of the primary race with Peltola.

The plan is to attack GOP candidates to elevate three candidates in an effort to split the GOP vote and hand the election to Peltola.

This would split the GOP vote among those three while leaving all Democrat voters with only one candidate, Peltola.

Alaska also used ranked voting choice, which has been widely rejected by Republican voters.

This ranking system is what played heavily into Peltola beating Palin in the last election, as she was not listed as a second choice on many of the ballots, so the votes that had listed another Republican candidate on top were irrelevant at that point.

Nancy Dahlstrom, who is backed by Trump, is the preferred candidate of the GOP, but the Dems are hoping to challenge her by having the final two spots with other Republicans, ideally with Nick Begich, who also has a very well-funded campaign.

If those two are in there with a third Republican and Peltola, there is very little chance that either of them will have enough votes to beat the lone Democrat, especially if Republicans are not using the ranking options on the ballot.

For those of you unfamiliar with this format, if no candidate has more than 50% of the vote, which is unlikely on the first ballot, the candidate with the lowest score is dropped. Any ticket that had that candidate atop the ballot would then go down to the second choice on the ballot, and votes would be counted again.

If after the second round there is still no winner, the third-place candidate is dropped, and the next choice is then counted for the vote, so you can see how this is dramatically impacted when Republicans do not use the ranking system.
