After Melania Protected Barron for Years, He is About to Enter the Political Arena

I can only imagine the horror that is coursing through Melania Trump’s entire body right now.

She knows how vicious our media can be, and for that reason, she has done everything possible to shield Barron Trump since 2015.

That will end shortly, however, as Barron Trump is going to enter the political arena later this year.

No More Mama Bear

For some reason, someone thought it would be a good idea to load up the Florida delegates with nothing but Trump family members and surrogates.

Virtually the entire Trump family has been named as at-large delegates for Florida for the National Convention.

Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Tiffany Trump’s husband, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and yes, Barron Trump, have all been named as delegates.

This was confirmed by Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power, who stated, “We have a great delegation of grassroots leaders, elected officials, and even Trump family members.

“Florida is continuing to have a great convention team, but more importantly we are preparing to win Florida and win it big.”

Conservative commentator Peter Henlein was stunned the Florida GOP went this route, posting on X, “Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr, Kim Guilfoyle, and shockingly Barron Trump have all been named as at large delegates to the RNC convention by the Florida GOP.

“This is wrong. The party has to be about more than just the Trump family.

“Keep this stuff up and Florida will be back to being a purple state in no time.”

I know this will not be a popular opinion, but I agree with him, and I think it only helps feed the Democrat narrative regarding Trump and the GOP.

We will find out soon enough when the general election takes place and we see how Trump fares compared how Governor Ron DeSantis did in his last election.

Just to set the stage for that, DeSantis won the 2022 gubernatorial election by 19.4%, defeating Charlie Crist 4,613,783 to 3,105,469. There were 0.6% votes cast for other candidates.

Currently, Donald Trump is beating Joe Biden 46% to 37%, with that margin growing to 46.3% to 36.8% with Kennedy in polling.

If Trump’s numbers come in below what DeSantis did, there are going to be some hard questions to answer as we move forward past the 2024 cycle.

UPDATE: It was announced late Friday evening that Barron has declined the at-large elector nomination and will NOT be serving as a Florida at-large elector.
