Adele Taking Hiatus from Performing
Adele fans are heartbroken today after a shocking announcement was made by the legendary singer.
Adele is taking a break, but she gave no indication of when she will return, or even if she will return.
She just told her fans that she will not see them for an “incredibly long time.”
Walking Away
Over the last few months, there have been some reports on Adele that might have signaled she was thinking about taking a break, but definitely not an extended one.
Adele is currently nearing the end of her residency at The Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace.
The residency started in 2022 and will end after her next 10 shows.
The residency was initially supposed to start in 2021, but Adele delayed the start, and then repeatedly pushed back shows into 2023 and 2024.
Her final show is now scheduled to be on November 23, 2024.
In addition to the constant delays, during a recent interview, Adele hinted that she might be going in a different direction from singing by saying that she was hoping to do other “creative things,” but those things were not defined.
She stated, "I don’t have any plans for new music at all. I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while."
Adele added, "I don’t like being famous. I love that I get to make music all the time." She sounds like the female version of Ben Affleck, how loves making movies but not the fans that come with the movies.
Like Affleck, she is not a fan of the paparazzi and adoring fans always snapping photos, which was at the center of her evil glare when she recently attended an NBA game, upset that people were taking pictures and filming her against her will.
Well, Adele, that is the price you pay when you are making a gazillion dollars for your record and concert sales, so suck it up.
