Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) could not wait to tweet after a California mass shooting in an Asian community.
Schiff, like many in our media today, is more concerned about being first than right.
It turned out that he wound up with some significant egg on his face.
Asian Hate
Schiff could have posted a generic tweet decrying gun violence or unnecessary violence, but he wanted to take a shot at the right.
So, this is what he sent out…
Ten dead in Monterey Park. I am sickened.
A horrific example of needless gun violence. With bigotry toward AAPI individuals as a possible motive.
The families are in my prayers as we seek information by law enforcement.
We’ll never quit demanding real action on gun safety.

Senator Schumer (D-N.Y.) sent out something similar…
I'm heartbroken by the news of the shooting in Monterey Park amid Lunar New Year celebrations
I'm praying for the victims, their families, the 1st responders
We must stand up to bigotry and hate wherever they rear their ugly heads, and we must keep working to stop gun violence
— Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) January 22, 2023
Wisconsin state Rep. Francesca Hong took it a step further and blamed it on white supremacy…
Heart is beyond heavy for the victims and their loved ones.
Lunar New Year is a time of togetherness, celebration and love.
This tragedy is beyond hate.
We are broken as a nation to have mass shootings and white supremacy reign terror. Our community is shattered. https://t.co/S6Omoj10Qt

None of them were correct. The shooting was committed by a 72-year-old Asian man, allegedly over a domestic dispute of some sort.
The man more than likely lived in the community where the shootings took place, as it is predominantly Asian immigrants and first-generation Asian Americans that live there.
The man had walked into a local dance studio and opened fire, killing 10 and wounding ten others.
After that shooting, he tried to do the same at another nearby dance studio, but someone wrestled his gun away from him and the shooter fled the scene.
According to reports, he later took his own life in the back of a white van that had been spotted near the shooting and attempted shooting.
When police searched the van, the found evidence that linked the individual to the shootings.
Sorry to disappoint you Mr. Schiff but perhaps next time you will wait until you have all the facts before tossing the blame around.
Sadly, it will not matter, as the media will never hold him accountable for pointing the finger toward conservatives. But, as we have seen, if a Republican does this and is in error, all hell breaks loose in the media and resignations are demanded.
