Trump says Biden pardons are 'VOID' because they were signed by autopen

President Donald Trump shocked the nation just days ago, claiming that a number of pardons by the former president are "void" because they were not signed properly.

In his recent Truth Social post, Trump asserted that the pardons of the lawmakers who served on the House Select Committee to investigate the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, and some others, are void pardons, as Newsmax reported.

Not only was autopen reportedly used on the pardons, but the current president asserts that the former president had no knowledge of the pardons and could not have signed off on them.

"The 'Pardons' that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen," Trump claimed in a Truth Social post.

Trump Went On …

The president went on, saying that the pardons can't be a real pardon if the president didn't know who he was pardoning and for what:

"In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them! The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden.

Trump's claim was a serious one: "He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime," Trump added.

The president continued in his post, "Therefore, those on the Unselect Committee, who destroyed and deleted ALL evidence obtained during their two year Witch Hunt of me … should fully understand that they are subject to investigation at the highest level."

Questions About the Change

Trump was asked about whether executive orders and pardons signed by Biden via an autopen are void while on board Air Force One near the same time that the news broke.

"I think so. It's not my decision. That would be up to a court," Trump replied.

The comments made by Trump come after the Oversight Project of the Heritage Foundation made a suggestion that an autopen had been used extensively during the time that Biden was serving in the White House.

"We gathered every document we could find with Biden's signature over the course of his presidency. All used the same autopen signature except for the announcement that the former President was dropping out of the race last year. Here is the autopen signature," the Oversight Project declared in a post on X earlier this month.

Do you think Biden's pardons should be voided?
