Gabbard pledges to 'aggressively pursue' leaks from US intelligence agencies
U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has made it clear anyone leaking information to press will be punished.
Gabbard took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to let her thoughts on the matter be known.
“Politically motivated leaks undermine our national security and the trust of the American people, and will not be tolerated,” Gabbard wrote in her recent X post.
“Unfortunately, such leaks have become commonplace with no investigation or accountability. That ends now. We know of and are aggressively pursuing recent leakers from within the Intelligence Community and will hold them accountable,” she also said.

As the Director of National Intelligence, Gabbard oversees nearly 20 different spy agencies.
She takes her job very seriously and has now issued a stern warning to anyone thinking about leaking information.
Gabbard has also said she will be “aggressively pursuing recent leakers” and plans on holding them accountable for their actions.
She went on to list different examples of what is classified as a “leak.”
From information to do with Israel and Iran, the relationship between the United States and Russia, and the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, all are topics reported to have been leaked to various news outlets.
Those news outlets are said to include the Huffington Post, The Washington Post, NBC News, and the Record.
“Any unauthorized release of classified information is a violation of the law and will be treated as such,” Gabbard warned.
Gabbard shares her view of leaks to the media outlets with President Donald Trump, who has been very upset with past leaks to news outlets as well.
As of now, Gabbard has fired more than 100 officers from 15 different agencies, citing that the fired individuals all committed “an egregious violation of trust” as well as broke “basic rules and standards around professionalism.”
