Former astronaut says Biden chose not to rescue stranded astronauts
Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Suni Williams were supposed to be in space for little more than week, but now they are nearing a year in space due to a malfunction.
Rumors are flying now that they did not have to be up there that long.
Yet another source has stated that Biden left them high and dry solely for political reasons.
Leave Them There
Over the last few weeks, some very bad information has come to light about the two astronauts who have been stranded in space for nearly a year.
Several weeks ago, during an interview, Elon Musk stated he had offered to rescue the astronauts with his SpaceX program, but Biden declined.
On February 20, Musk posted to X, “SpaceX could have brought them back several months ago. I OFFERED THIS DIRECTLY to the Biden administration and they refused. Return WAS pushed back for political reasons.”
Musk claimed that Biden did so for political reasons, as his affiliation with Donald Trump would have given Trump a perceived victory even though Biden was the president at the time.
Musk had backed Trump about a month after the two astronauts were stranded in space.
Clayton “Astroclay” Anderson, a former astronaut, is now pushing the same narrative.
Anderson stated, “Elon [Musk] said it was politically motivated; I think there’s some truth in that.”
He continued, “He offered to bring them home earlier. It came about right before the election.
“My opinion is that they didn’t want a disaster right before an election that they were trying to win and therefore asked the astronauts to sacrifice and stay in orbit.”
Wilmore, one of the two stranded astronauts, stunned the media by saying he also believed that was the case, stating, “I can only say that Mr. Musk, what he says, is absolutely factual.”
His daughter has called the Biden administration “negligent,” stating, “It’s less the fact that he’s up there sometimes; it’s more the fact of why. There’s a lot of politics, there’s a lot of things that I’m not at liberty to say in that I don’t know fully about.”
SpaceX is about to conduct the rescue operation, sending up a four-seat craft to bring the two astronauts home.
I honestly don’t know if we will ever get the truth about this situation, but one would think it would be relatively easy to prove.
I would love to see Musk produce the communications regarding his offer and the administration shooting him down. If that were to happen, Biden or his officials would have no choice but to come forward with an explanation.
