Trump takes out senior military leader associated with Al-Qaeda
President Donald Trump just took out a senior military leader who was affiliated with the Al-Qaeda terrorist group.
This was confirmed by U.S. Central Commend in a press release that it published on March, 1, 2025, titled, "CENTCOM Forces Kill the Senior Military Leader of Al-Qaeda Affiliate Hurras al-Din (HaD) in Syria."
CENTCOM even released the footage of the air strike. Take a look:

Here is what happened:
According to CENTCOM, the strike was carried out on Feb. 23, 2025.
The press release states:
On Feb. 23, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted a precision airstrike in Northwest Syria, targeting and killing Muhammed Yusuf Ziya Talay, the senior military leader of the terrorist organization Hurras al-Din (HaD), an Al-Qaeda affiliate.
CENTCOM goes on to explain that this is part of an ongoing effort to combat terrorism.
It writes:
The airstrike is part of CENTCOM's ongoing commitment, along with partners in the region, to disrupt and degrade efforts by terrorists to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against civilians and military personnel from the U.S., our allies, and our partners throughout the region and beyond.
Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, commander, U.S. Central Command, is then quoted as saying, "As we have said in the past, we will continue to relentlessly pursue these terrorists in order to defend our homeland, and U.S., allied, and partner personnel in the region."
Trump gave the order
Not long before the strike, Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth revealed that President Trump had eased the rules regarding air strikes.
CBS News reported:
"President Trump has rolled back constraints on American commanders to authorize airstrikes and special operation raids outside conventional battlefields, broadening the range of people who can be targeted, according to U.S. officials with knowledge of the policy shift."
The outlet goes on to write, "The quiet but seismic recalibration dismantles Biden-era mandates and signals a return to more aggressive counterterrorism policies Trump first instituted in his first term."
The new approach, according to CBS, gives "commanders greater latitude to decide whom to target while relaxing the multi-layered centralized control former President Joe Biden implemented over airstrikes and raids by American special operation forces."
This is another campaign promise fulfilled by Trump, and it would appear that we are already seeing the results of it.
