Lindsay Lohan's father gets arrested

The father of actress Lindsay Lohan has been arrested. 

The Daily Mail reports that Michael Lohan was arrested on Friday in Spring, Texas.

It appears that the 64-year-old is now facing assault charges.

The alleged victim is his estranged wife, 42-year-old Kate Major Lohan.

Here is what we know:

Fox News obtained a statement on the situation from a Harris County Sheriff's Office representative. This it the office that was involved in the arrest.

It, in part, reads:

On Friday February 21, 2025, the complainant (Kate Lohan) was at a medical follow up, when the defendant (Michael Lohan) was observed by Ms. Lohan in the parking lot of the building.  A 911 call was placed, and deputies responded.

In the call, she expressed concern, claiming that Michael Lohan had been following her. Police responded to the call. When the officers arrived at the location, Kate Lohan alleged that Michael Lohan had been physical with her in the previous few days. .

The statement continues:

She told deputies that Lohan had flipped her out of a chair at their residence a few days earlier. The complainant felt pain and discomfort. A female deputy was able to witness the bruising on the complainants body.

This is when the police proceeded to arrest Michael Lohan.

Arrested and charged

According to Page Six, "The 64-year-old was charged with 'continuous violence against the family' and taken into custody in Texas on Saturday."

This is a felony assault charge. Michael, according to TMZ, has been released on a $30,000 bond, and he is scheduled to appear in court this week.

Both individuals have released a statement on the matter. FOr his part, Michael Lohan said:

I've shut up long enough about Kate’s physical, emotional and verbal abuse. She set me up. Originally she said I was stalking her! Really? Lol. Then, when that didn't work, she said, I pushed her over a chair which is a total lie. Not only will my kids attest to it, but I have video. I have more videos of her abuse.

Kate Lohan, in her own statement, said, "I’m praying for privacy for the sake of my kids and myself and pray justice is finally served."

Outlets are reporting hat this is not the only incident of its kind between the pair. TMZ reports, "Michael and Kate have had numerous run-ins with the law over the years ... including last year when Major was arrested for violation of a protection orderafter a heated confrontation with Lohan in the middle of the road."
