EU leadership appears to be panicking over Trump presidency

Well, we all knew it was only a matter of time before liberal elected officials around the world started to push the panic button after Trump took office.

While most of them extended congratulations to Trump, they are now getting ready to hold an emergency meeting to discuss Trump.  

Reports surfaced this week that French President Emmanual Macron is calling other European leaders together to hold a special meeting about Trump.  

Panic Attacks 

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski spilled the beans on the meeting during the Munich Security Conference on Saturday. 

Sikorski stated, "I'm very glad that President Macron has called our leaders to Paris. 

"President Trump has a method of operating which the Russians call "razvedka boyem" – reconnaissance through battle. You push and you see what happens, and then you change your position…And we need to respond.” 

Sikorski has dipped his nose into American politics before, specifically about the disastrous debate performance by Joe Biden during the election season.  

He was a bit dramatic, likening the Biden debacle to the fall of Rome.  

He has also been complimentary of Trump in the past, agreeing with Trump that all NATO nations needed to pay their fair share on defense.  

For his part, Macron has tried to butter up Trump, posting on X after the election, "Congratulations, President @realDonaldTrump. Ready to work together as we did for four years. With your convictions and mine. With respect and ambition. For more peace and prosperity." 

Macron also gushed over Trump when he attended the re-opening of Notre Dame, stating, "It's a great honor for French people to welcome you five years later. 

"And you were, at that time, president for the first time. And I remember the solidarity and your immediate action. So, welcome back again. We are very happy to have you here." 

I think I know Trump pretty well at this point, and I would say Macron is wasting his time other than generating some headlines. 

If they think they are going to pressure Trump into changing his ways, they have another thing coming.  

Trump has set a frenetic pace so far during this administration, and the media cannot even keep up here, making it look as though the Biden administration was stuck in the mud.
