RFK Jr. says any HHS staffers working for Big Pharma should 'move out'
When Donald Trump was running for a second term as president of the United States in 2024, he promised to weed out the overpaid and underworking employees of the federal government who didn't have the best interests of taxpayers in mind.
It appears that Trump's new head of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., is completely on board with that plan.
According to the Washington Examiner, RFK Jr. is ready to weed out HHS employees who are "working for the pharmaceutical industry."
Kennedy already has a "generic list" of people he wants removed from his department, according to The Hill.
"I have a list in my head … we have a generic list of the kind of people that -- if you’ve been involved in good science, you have got nothing to worry about," Kennedy said during a recent appearance on Fox News.
"If you care about public health, you’ve got nothing to worry about. If you’re in there working for the pharmaceutical industry, then I’d say you should move out and work for the pharmaceutical industry," RFK Jr. added.
Trump hired Elon Musk to lead the Department of Government Efficiency for a reason:
It's time to trim the fat in America's federal government.
There are too many federal employees for things to be running efficiently, and Trump's administration believes that not all of them are working for the good of the American taxpayer.
In fact, many of them are taking advantage of taxpayers by simply cashing a paycheck and not putting forth an honest effort in the workplace or worse, taking money from corporations to further their interest inside the government.
RFK Jr. said that some HHS employees who were "involved in the amyloid plaque scandals that derailed Alzheimer’s treatment for 20 years" are examples of employees whose time has come to "move out."
It was just a short time ago that Kennedy was confirmed to his position by a Senate vote of 52-48.
Sen. Mitch McConnell was the only Republican to vote against Kennedy's nomination.
