Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez under investigation over illegal migrant video

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is under investigation by the Department of Justice according to Donald Trump's border czar.

Newsweek reported that Tom Homan recently suggested AOC may be in hot water with the Department of Justice.

In AOC’s recent webinar, she informed any immigrants residing in her district about their rights and what to do if they had an encounter with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE.)

During an interview with Fox News, Homan spilled his opinion on AOC’s webinar.

When asked by Fox News if AOC’s webinar was “crossing the line” Homan responded, “Impediment is impediment in my opinion.”

Reports say that Homan went on to claim he contacted the Department of Justice for clarification on whether or not AOC’s webinar could be considered “unlawful interference.”

“I sent an email to the Deputy AG today...at what level is that impediment,” Homan said.

“Is that impeding our law enforcement efforts? If so, what are we going to do about it? Is she crossing the line? I'm working with the DOJ to find out. Maybe AOC is going to be in trouble now," Homan continued.

When AOC learned of Homan’s actions, she took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to slam Homan.

“MaYbe shE's goiNg to be in TroUble nOw’ Maybe he can learn to read. The Constitution would be a good place to start,” she mocked on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.

Newsweek reached out to both AOC and the Department of Justice for comments on the recent situation but has yet to receive comments from either.

While the DOJ has not confirmed if they will or will not investigate AOC’s recent webinar, the odds of them moving forward with an investigation have been reported to be likely.

If they do move forward with an investigation, reports have indicated they will need to establish that AOC’s webinar “actively obstructed” ICE operations.
