"Fear the Walking Dead" producer Frank Hildebrand dies at age 73
It's a sad day for movie and television enthusiasts.
Fans of Frank Hildebrand's work will be sad to learn that the producer and production manager has passed away at the age of 73.
Hildebrand's family has confirmed that Frank passed away in November after a brief illness, just before his 74th birthday.
Frank Hildebrand was born and educated in Zurich, Switzerland.
He began his filmmaking career in the United Kingdom before moving to Hollywood in the 1980s.
His start in the movie industry came with indie films like Vice Squad (1982) and Once Bitten (1985).
Hildebrand then went on to line produce and supervise movies like Triumph of the Spirit (1989), Freeway (1996), The Hills Have Eyes (2006), Into the Wild (2007), The Runaways (2010), Fair Game (2010) and The Tree of Life (2011).
Frank Hildebrand's most recent work was as a producer on the last seven seasons of AMC's Fear the Walking Dead.
Throughout Hildebrand's career, he served as head of production at companies like Goldwyn Company, Epic Entertainment, and River Road Productions.
Hildebrand was a member of the Directors Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America.
He is survived by his wife Olivier, as well as two daughters.
Natacha and Briana Hildebrand were born to Frank Hildebrand and his ex-wife, Penny Karlin.
Hildebrand's family said that Frank was a passionate water skier and scuba diver and said that donations made to any ocean conservancy organization "would be immensely appreciated."
