Egypt pushes back against Trump plan for Gaza
Donald Trump created quite a buzz when he said he wanted the United States to take over Gaza.
That “take over” has since been walked back a bit by Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, but certain aspects of Trump’s plan remain in place, such as moving everyone out of the area until it can be rebuilt.
That has offended some nations, with Egypt now claiming that Trump is suggesting some sort of ethnic cleansing.
We Don’t Like This
Israel has already announced that it is looking to put the pieces in play to execute Trump’s plan, which has created outrage among the left.
To that point, Egypt is now saying that the deal between Hamas and Israel could fall apart if Israel continues down this path.
The White House has since cleaned up its plans, saying that Palestinians would only be temporarily relocated while the rebuilding takes place.
Once that was accomplished, the area would be opened again.
It also stated that boots would be put on the ground to carry out this plan, which is the narrative that was being pitched before.
Palestine has also pushed back against Trump’s proposal, claiming that Israel would never allow Palestinians to come back once they were relocated out of Gaza.
US Ally Saudi Arabia stated that unless the Palestinian state included Gaza, it would not normalize its relations with Israel, which is a main goal for Trump.
Here is a crazy idea… tell Saudi Arabia and other Middle East nations to take the controls and allow them to rebuild Gaza because the United States has no business taking on this project.
Trump needs to give up this plan and stop trying to play savior to the entire world. This is not our problem, it is not our neck of the woods, and we have no right being the centerpiece of this rebuild.
If Egypt and Saudi Arabia don’t like the plan, then tell them to come up with their own plan and carry it out, with their money, not American taxpayer money.
I don’t know about you guys, but with our country already being $36 trillion in debt, I don’t want to be responsible for the costs of the rebuilding of Gaza, and that is where this is headed.
