MI Democrat chooses voluntary sterilization after Trump elected

Let’s talk about looney toons for a second.

I give you Michigan state Rep. Laurie Pohutsky (D-Livonia), who had taken the path of voluntary sterilization after Trump was elected.

According to Pohutsky, she will not allow her body to be “treated as currency.”

Ridiculousness

According to Pohutsky, Republicans will no longer allow contraceptives to be available, so she is sterilizing herself.

She stated, “I refuse to let my body be treated as currency by an administration that only sees value in my ability to procreate.

“If you know people who are questioning how serious this is, I’m going to repeat myself: A sitting government official opted for voluntary sterilization because she was uncertain she would be able to access contraception in the future.”

She later added, “We need to demand that our elected officials at all levels stop pretending that this is politics as usual.

“It is beyond time that all elected officials force the issue instead of preemptively capitulating.”

So, yes, there are people on the right that have brought this up, but it is such a fringe idea, there is no way anything like this will ever come into play.

If you can find me a dozen members of Congress that would even consider this idiocy, I will eat my words, but I know they do not exist.

Not to mention, the GOP does not have the numbers in the Senate to pass legislation like this, and it never will because even if we had 60 Senators in office, not all of them would support ending contraceptive measures.

This is what Democrats love to do… go to the extreme.

Like their “go-to” argument about being the party of empathy because they want to house illegal immigrants… give me a break.

They are either going to extremes or trying to guilt people into supporting their agenda. This is gaslighting and manipulation to the Nth degree… and it won’t work.

All they are really doing is showing people how mentally unstable they are.
