Kamala Harris full ’60 Minutes’ interview released

When Kamala Harris interviewed with “60 Minutes,” CBS made a huge mistake.

It aired a teaser of a question being answered by Harris, but when the actual show aired, her answers were completely different.

This led to calls for the full interview to be aired, and now that Trump is in office, his FCC director mandated the network release the full, unedited interview.

Not Illegal, But Not Good

You are going to hear a lot of noise over the next week about this interview, but that is all it will be.

The optics on this are horrible for the network, but technically, they did nothing wrong.

They did not change answers, they just edited out the word salads. So, like I said, they technically did nothing wrong, as they edit every interview, but it just looks horrible, especially when people see the word salads the network had to go through in order to print a workable interview.

The full interview was nearly an hour, but most of it was cut out. For instance, she rambled on about Israel for nearly a minute, but the network cut her answer down to about seven seconds.

There is a section where she is ranting about Trump and why she is the better choice for president, but it was all cut from the interview.

There was a section when Harris was asked about accusing Trump of being a racist… her answer was a long-winded minute or so rant, which was cut down to: “So I say that I'm glad you're pointing these comments out that he has made, that have resulted in a response by most reasonable people to say it's just wrong. It's just wrong.”

When Harris was asked about foreign policy, she stated that she considered Iran to be our greatest threat, but it was cut.

Had the full interview aired, I have little doubt it would have wrecked Harris, but they did their best to remove her word salads and outright remove her worst answers, where it was clear she had virtually no idea what she was talking about.

Again, technically, they did nothing illegal because they did not move answers around.

The bigger issue here is optics, and they are horrible.

As I stated above, you are going to hear a lot of noise, and I am sure Trump will threaten to sue, but nothing will ever come of that. The most important thing in all of this is that the American people got to see the real Harris, and now they know why she primarily did taped interviews rather than live ones.
