AOC Roasted for slamming Musk

Similar to other Democrats, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who once owned a Tesla, sought to expose the egos of Musk and President Trump while simultaneously poking fun at them, as OutKick reported.

“What Donald Trump has done is that he has completely given up his power and handed a lot of it over to Elon Musk,” the Queens and Bronx Democrat said. “Elon Musk has appointed some teenagers and some people in their early 20s into essentially trying to raid government systems.”

During her Instagram session with her 8.5 million followers, she spent approximately 90 minutes venting about the situation.

Her endeavors to undermine Musk's intelligence were promptly ridiculed by her critics.

The Response

The reaction from viewers and political pundits was likely not what the New York representitave had in mind when she began her diatribe against Musk.

“AOC calling Elon Musk ‘unintelligent’ might actually be the dumbest thing she has ever said, which is really saying something,” conservative pundit Charlie Kirk said.

GOP operative Kevin Smith weighed in, saying “He’s literally going to Mars… She has a [hard] time getting to Queens.” And Defiant L’s also commented, saying on X, “Who’s gonna tell her?”

Additionally, New York City officials have ripped her for being out of touch with the borough on key issues to her constituents.

The Problem at Hand

Ocasio-Cortez lambasted Musk's Department of Government Efficiency team for its investigation of the Treasury Department, bringing up her history of public feuds with Musk.

A move that Democrats have found frustrating is DOGE's acquisition of access to the federal payment system last week. This will help DOGE in its endeavors to carefully examine government spending.

“They don’t do their homework, clearly,” Ocasio-Cortez griped of Republicans. “Like, they’re putting 19-year-olds in at the Treasury.”

Democrats are furious with Musk and the Trump administration for trying to dismantle the US Agency for International Development and implementing major agency reforms without seeking permission from Congress.
