Former New York Representative Lee Zeldin confirmed to lead the EPA

When it comes to his nominations, Donald Trump just keeps on winning.

Former New York Representative Lee Zeldin, a Republican, Donald Trump's nominee to lead the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), was just confirmed by the Senate in a 56-42 vote.

Lee Zeldin announced the news on Twitter, saying that he was "grateful" that Donald Trump put faith in him to be a "part of his Cabinet" as the EPA Administrator.

"CONFIRMED! Thank You to the 56 Senators for your vote and confidence," Zeldin said.

"Grateful to President @realDonaldTrump for having the faith in me to be part of his Cabinet as @EPA Administrator. Make America Great Again!" he continued.

Shortly after his November election win, Donald Trump announced that he had selected Zeldin to be his nomination for Administrator of the EPA.

Trump praised Zeldin's "very strong legal background" and credited the New York Republican with being a "true fighter for America First policies."

You know that anyone willing to put an R next to their name in the liberal hotbed of New York isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in!

Trump released a statement when he selected Zeldin:

"As the 45th and 47th President of the United States, I am pleased to announce that the Highly Respected former Congressman from New York, Lee Zeldin will be appointed to serve as The Administrator of The United States Environmental Protective Agency (EPA)," Trump said.

He continued, "Lee, with a very strong legal background, has been a true fighter for America First policies. He will ensure fair and swift deregulatory decisions that will be enacted in a way to unleash the power of American businesses, while at the same time maintaining the highest environmental standards, including the cleanest air and water on the planet."

Now that Zeldin has been confirmed, America's attention is turning to Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr., two Trump nominees facing serious questions about their ability to collect enough "yes" votes.

Do you think Gabbard and RFK will be successful, just like Zeldin was?
