Truth About Harry and Meghan ‘Divorce’ Book
Several days ago, rumors started to fly about an alleged divorce book for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Well, it turns out the rumors were much ado about nothing.
Publishers all agreed that the marketing value for Meghan and Harry is as a couple, not apart.
Like a Corporation
According to the report in Vanity Fair, Markle’s team allegedly floated the idea for the book to an unknown publisher to gauge interest in the project.
That narrative seemed to have quickly been shut down, however, with one person close to the royal couple stating, “Meghan and Harry know that they are tied together, their value is in being a couple — even if they wanted to split, they couldn’t. And honestly, they are obsessed with each other. They are just two narcissists.”
This is the problem when you do a story with anonymous sources, though… they can say whatever they want, and there are no repercussions.
The couple also had a massive book deal with Penguin Random House, which reportedly stated it had never heard of such a project.
Harry’s book, “Spare,” has sold about six million copies, so perhaps Meghan was floating some ideas to get her back on par with Harry, but who knows.
One insider in the publishing industry confirmed they are far better together, stating, “It doesn’t benefit them to be apart — they have all their deals together. I think the Random House deal is much like the Netflix deal: Netflix just said ‘Yes’ to everything because they wanted to get the docu-series [‘Harry & Meghan’]. So they said, ‘Ok, we’ll take the ‘Polo’ show’ and let’s see what happens with Meghan’s lifestyle show.”
Markle has yet to release a mainstream book, but she has published a children’s book.
For my part, I have never understood the fascination in this country with the royals.
Our Founders literally shed blood to get away from the crown, yet they remain popular in the country today.
