REPORT: Trump DOJ Reassigns Top Officials Linked to Mar-a-Lago Raid

Even though Donald Trump’s attorney general has yet to be confirmed by the Senate, there have already been some sweeping changes made to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

According to reports, 15 longtime DOJ staffers have been reassigned.

From my understanding, just about every one of them has been linked to the raid of Mar-a-Lago as well as the Trump prosecutions.

Bondi had a very contentious committee hearing, and the recent actions of Donald Trump are not going to make her confirmation very easy.

While Dems do not have the numbers to block Bondi, they can try to delay her confirmation, and they will surely pressure her after Donald Trump issued a blanket pardon for more than 1,500 J6 defendants and 14 commutations.

Currently, Bondi’s committee vote is scheduled for January 29, but I suspect Dems will start to play games after the blanket pardons and this latest move by Trump.

Trump vowed not to take revenge, but he has reportedly transferred 15 staffers in the DOJ to other departments, clearly a message for their role in his prosecutions.

Among those moved was Deputy Assistant Attorney General George Toscas, who has been in the National Security Division for nearly two decades.

Toscas has been reassigned to the Office of Sanctuary Cities Enforcement, a new office set up by the Trump administration.

Toscas reportedly led the charge to have Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home raided by the FBI, even calling out officials who were hesitant to raid the home of a former president.

When the raid was being discussed, Toscas reportedly told the former head of the FBI Washington Field Office, Steven D’Antuono, “You and your leadership seem to have gone from cautious to fearful.”

He had also reportedly stated that he did not “give a damn about the optics” or raiding a former president’s home.

Trump is not making things easy for Bondi, so we will just have to wait and see how Democrats react to this and the pardons in terms of them trying to block her confirmation.
