Texas Man Pleads Guilty for Vandalizing Pro-life Center

Over the last four years, we have seen our Department of Justice drop the hammer on pro-life activists while abortion activists have been able to do some serious damage to pro-life clinics.

While conservatives have been disappointed in how the DOJ has gone after these activists for attacks on pro-life centers, there were a few arrests.

One of them was Ethan Skorick, 23, who just pleaded guilty in his case.

Got Him

As I stated above, these arrests have been far too few, but we need to make sure the ones who were caught pay the price.

To that point, Skorick pleaded guilty after being arrested and charged with the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.

Skorick defaced the Loreto House and Woman to Woman pro-life pregnancy resource centers located in Denton, TX.

Among the things he wrote on the buildings were “NOT A CLINIC,” “FORCED BIRTH IS MURDER,” and “PRO BIRTH [does not equal] PRO LIFE.”

When asked why he vandalized these buildings, he stated, “both facilities provide reproductive health services that I opposed.”

Skorick continued, “I was angered by the United States Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, which previously provided Constitutional protections for abortion services.”

U.S. Attorney Damien M. Diggs for the Eastern District of Texas explained, “This defendant sought to prevent fellow citizens from exercising rights protected by law.

“People cannot resort to destroying property in an effort to intimidate or prevent others from engaging in lawful activity simply because they disagree with the law. This office will remain dedicated to protecting the rights of all Americans to safely access medical services and ensuring providers can perform their duties freely.”

Skorick faces as long as one year in jail as well as having to pay as much as $100,000 in fines. The date of his sentencing hearing was not announced.
