Trump AG Nominee Rips Democrat Senator for Bringing Up Another Nominee
As we suspected, Democrat Senators are throwing bombs at nominated FBI Director Kash Patel, and he is not even before the committee yet.
Dems were setting the table for what will be a contentious hearing for Patel during Pam Bondi’s hearing, who has been nominated by Trump for Attorney General.
While they were trying to get Bondi to sell out Patel, she shut them down, but that, of course, still did not stop Dems from throwing more bombs.
Excuse Me
When Trump was in office, Patel made a lot of comments about extracting revenge and holding those accountable who went after Trump.
These comments were rhetoric, but there is also some truth to them in that if these people bent the rules to go after Trump, and Patel does go after them, that is justice, not revenge. Quite frankly, during these hearing, I would like to see someone take that exact approach, and ask the Dems that if someone did bend the rules to go after Trump, should they be held accountable.
Democrats want an all-encompassing statement that Patel will not prosecute anyone who went after Trump, and quite frankly, I don’t blame Patel or Bondi for not giving it to them.
I, for one, want to know who broke the rules in issuing FISA warrants or coordinating with other prosecutors, such as Fani Willis and Alvin Bragg.
To that point, Senator Blumenthal (D-CT) made comments about Patel to Bondi, who was having none of it.
After Blumenthal's rant about Patel, Bondi looked ready to come over the table, responding, "Senator, I am not familiar with all those comments. I have not discussed those comments with Mr. Patel. What I do know, is Mr. Patel…"
At this point, Blumenthal tried to cut her off, but she came right back at him, "Excuse me. What I do know is Mr. Patel was a career prosecutor. He was a career public defender, defending people. And he also has great experience within the intelligence community."
Here is the interaction between the two of them…
To me, this is one of Trump’s best appointments, and I think Bondi is going to be a rock star, and I hope she stays in place for the entire four years.
I know her history in Florida, and I have complete faith that she will run that office properly.
