Trump CIA Boss Expected to Take ‘Wrecking Ball’ to DEI Policies
I have pushed back against plenty of Donald Trump’s nominees, but rest assured, John Ratcliffe will not be one of them.
Ratcliffe has the resume to run the CIA, and I believe he is exactly what that agency needs to get back on track.
Trump also believes that Ratcliffe will finally end the DEI policies infecting our government and get the agency back to doing what it does best.
Wrecking Ball
For those of you unfamiliar with Ratcliffe, he started his political career as the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas in 2007 (he was also serving as the mayor of Heath, TX) at the time.
In 2015, now no longer the mayor of Heath, Ratcliffe won a seat on Congress representing the TX-4, a seat he held until he was named as Trump’s DNI in May 2020.
Ratcliffe is one of the few prior administration officials who will return to DC this term, having been nominated as Trump’s CIA Director.
As you read this report, Ratcliffe is likely sitting in the hot seat before a Senate committee getting drilled on his plans to end DEI policies at the CIA.
A Ratcliffe insider commented on his future plans, stating, “I suspect Ratcliffe is going to come in like a wrecking ball to the woke deep staters,' said a source familiar with his plans. The mission is all he cares about.
“No more politicized intelligence products. No more social experiments.
“Nothing and no one that distracts from the mission of collecting foreign intelligence and keeping Americans safe.”
Some of the events expected to be axed as soon as Ratcliffe arrives are CIA Pride events, inclusion events, such as the Multiculture Inclusion Exchange, and the Equity Assurance training programs.
Looking at the list of events that took place over the last four years, it was as though there was some type of inclusivity event just about every month.
One former CIA paramilitary operations officer stated, “We're the point of the spear for the Agency and we don't have time for this nonsense. And that's what it is: Nonsense.”
When the agency was questioned about these events, including one event that celebrated the anniversary of legalizing interracial marriages, a CIA representative responded, “We’re an agency that has to operate in a lot of diverse landscapes around the world. Having a diverse workforce is crucial to our mission.
“Not only is it the right thing to do, but it's the smart thing to do for us to take full advantage of the richness of our own society, whether that’s about ethnicity or language or gender or anything else, because that’s going to make us a stronger intelligence service.”
Pete Hegseth is expected to take a similar approach if he is approved as Secretary of Defense, having stated, “DEI amplifies differences, creates grievances, and excludes anyone who won’t bow down to the cultural Marxist revolution ripping through the Pentagon.”
This will create resistance among Democrats, which is why it is so important for Hegseth to impress every Republican.
There is no wiggle room here… but they also need to be about more than just ending DEI and woke policies.
Our intelligence agencies and our military are all suffering from a lack of training and leadership right now, and that also needs to be a major focus.
So, while I welcome the end of this “nonsense,” I want to know what the plan is to get these agencies and our military back on track.
