Trump White House Will Limit Access to President
Incoming Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, as I have stated before, is very much a no-nonsense type of woman.
To that point, an announcement has just been made that during the upcoming administration, direct access to Trump will be limited.
Wiles is going to significantly cut back on giving the designation of “assistant to the president,” which gives the bearer additional access to the president.
Not This Time
Wiles is clearly trying to prevent the chaos that happened during Donald Trump’s first presidency.
Far too many people had direct access to Trump, which was a big part of the problem in terms of leaks and rumors.
Trump can obviously still talk to whomever he chooses, but my guess here is that Wiles is trying to cut down on people like Roger Stone blowing up Trump’s phone and putting nonsense into his head that then immediately gets put out on Truth Social or during an interview.
If I were Wiles, I would be holding Trump’s Truth Social phone and making sure the comments are vetted before he puts them out there.
While she is at it, I would recommend she get Communications Director Steven Cheung to dial it down a bit because he has far more wrong than right, especially in terms of Trump’s legal cases.
For instance, he continues to claim that Trump should have presidential immunity in the hush money case, and that is just flat-out wrong.
I have to admit, so far, I really like what I am seeing from Wiles, I just hope she can keep the clamps down as she has promised to do in terms of leaks and negative stories coming out of the White House.
I do have one concern, and that is how Trump reacts to this after a year or two.
We can only hope that since the strategy worked rather well during the campaign, Trump will just go with the flow while his in office.
