‘Pod Save America’ Calls Out Biden for Snubbing Obama with Medal

Several days ago, Biden handed out the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Presidential Citizens Medal, the two highest citizen awards in this country, like they were Halloween candy.  

While Biden chose to honor people like Hillary Clinton, Bill Nye, a host of entertainers, and Liz Cheney, he snubbed President Barack Obama.  

The hosts of “Pod Save America” now want to know why he was snubbed. 

What About Barack? 

Honestly, I was wondering this myself since Obama gave Biden the award when Joe was serving as his vice president.  

Co-host Jon Favreau noted, “Obama gave one to Biden, and Biden did not return the favor. 

Jon Lovett replied, “That’s interesting. I guess they’re not really on speaking terms, I suppose, after all that’s happened!” 

They also commented on Cheney getting the #2 medal, stating, “Liz Cheney didn’t get the Medal of Freedom, she got the one just below it, which by the way, pissed off some resistance folks on Twitter. 

“I bet Liz Cheney could use a pardon more than the f---ing medal!” 

Well, if Cheney did nothing wrong, why would she need a pardon, that would be my question.  

The two of them echoed my comments in an earlier report on how we need an independent commission to oversee this, noting in particular how Biden gave the medal to one of his sugar daddies that let him have a millionaire’s vacation on the cuff.  

David Rubenstein is a major Democrat donor who has loaned Biden his Nantucket home several times during this administration for a vacation.  

Favreau stated, “If you want to make it special and a revered honor, you kinda got to have some kind of independent body that is just like, hey president, here’s where we go. 

“David Rubenstein got one who is like his house?” 

I 100% agree with that, as these awards really used to be special but they have turned into a complete and utter joke over the last two decades.
