Actor John Capodice of 'Seinfeld' fame passes away

A famous Seinfeld actor has died at the age of 83.

John Capodice, most famous for his roles in Seinfeld and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, has passed away.

In Seinfeld, Capodice played Vic, a laundromat owner who had his washing machines broken by cement, thanks to the antics of Cosmo Kramer.

In Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, he was the guy who stomped on a cockroach and teased Jim Carrey that there had been a homicide.

There are not many people who get to say they worked alongside legends like Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Carrey, but, despite Capodice's bragging rights, his acting career was not the thing of which he was most proud.

He was also a U.S. Army Veteran in the 60s and a member of the Blauvelt Sons of Italy Rockland Lodge 2176.

Most importantly, according to his obituary, he was “a devoted husband, father and grandfather.”

His obituary went on to say that he “will be missed by all who had the pleasure to meet him.”

While the cause of Capodice's death has not been confirmed, we do know there are not many who get to say they lived such a long and fulfilling life.

Not only did Capodice have a successful career, he had a successful personal life and home life.

Everyone who knew Capodice loved him, and his absence will be felt immensely by his friends, wife, children, and grandchildren.

Despite having smaller roles, his fans absolutely loved him.

There are even several threads trending on social media platforms where fans are discussing how iconic any role he was given became.

“One of the best character choices. He wasn't an actor, he was a guy who ran a laundry in NY. RIP,” one user wrote about Capodice's appearance in Seinfeld.

It is abundantly clear that John Capodice truly touched countless lives and made anyone watching smile.

We pray for everyone grieving the loss of John Capodice during this difficult time.
